Showtime Season 2

Posted by Dhina Lieva on Monday Jul 26, 2010 Under Daily Living, Entertainment, It's Show Time, weight loss

First day of the week, Monday, and it’s closing week for us. I was able to watch the 2nd season of It’s Showtime, one of the entertaining shows in the Philippines. I only was able to watch the group of healthy women who sang “One Night Only” - The Biriteras.

All of them are stout, but sang well as in to the highest note, I surmise they also are looking for the best place to buy apidexin. They also wanted to feel lighter and there are many ways to do it. Anyway, it’s their lives though, and I am not trying to meddle them, just some sort of expressing my opinion :-)

I was born of the 80’s, I am not sure if Pasig River was still clean and safe to swim with during that time. But I did hear of the song “Anak ng Pasig” by Smokey Mountain, this must have been the year where the river started to be filthy. Years waned since then, more than twenty years, what now is the Pasig River? Inhabitants are not abating nor decreasing, they just increase over the years, and this means that more and more human waste and garbage are being thrown in the river. This resulted to a worst Ilog Pasig case.

There have been many advocacies to help revive the Ilog Pasig. One of the countries leading network channel ABS CBN is helping to revive this river particularly their Kapit Bisig Para sa Ilog foundation. At present, the network will be conducting a fun run dubbed as the “Run for the Pasig River” to be held on October 10, 2010 (or 10.10.10). I heard it from the news last night, and was interested to participate in this advocacy. This does not only for the river, it also aims to set a new world record for the largest participant in a foot race, current Guinness world record holder is 110,000 held last 1988 “Bay to Breakers” aa race in San Francisco California. Philippines will be aiming to beat that and hopes to gather 120,000 runners, as I’ve said, the main purpose of this is to earn funds for Pasig River rehabilitation efforts.

Everyone is invited, the whole nation is invited, those from schools, the military, private, government and corporate sector are welcome. Kids can join too, even lolo and lola, it’s not the typical run as it is called a fun run, you can walk though at a fun run.

I am interested to participate, and if you too are, you may register online via wwwdot 101010runforthepasigriver.com, there is a P250 registration fee for individuals and P100 for students and members of AFP. A nice bracelet will be given to the participants. Three categories are to be participated, 3K, 5K and 10K, each will be starting from different places. The 3K run will start at the Mall of Asia (hmm maybe I can choose this since I am living nearby), 5K will start at CCP (ah well, this one too, so near!) and the last, 10K will begin at the corner of Ayala Avenue and Paseo de Roxas in Makati City.

The fun run will congregate at SM Mall of Asia and a concert where ABS CBN start will perform is also to await.

Since the beginning of the advocacy to revive Pasig River, there are already visual changes happened, these were all possible because of the natio’s support and participation.

Let us continue supporting this kind of activity that will help revive not only the rivers or other places but the Philippines most especially. We people can make a big difference, let us join hands in hand and do our best. Change for the best is always happening :-) and we can always have it.

Is it Really Needed?

Posted by Dhina Lieva on Tuesday Jul 20, 2010 Under Daily Living, Entertainment, Female Topic

One of the hottest entertainment issues nowadays is the treatment done with Charice by Dr. Vicki Belo in preparation of the American series Charice is going to joined in. She had her face botox and thermage to look thin yet not emaciated. According to Dra. Belo, the reason why she had a rounded face is because of chewing gum Charice chews. Hmmm, wonders if this is true. And well, is it really needed?

Charice is now eighteen and she must be very lucky because she doesn’t have pimple (as i believe), otherwise, she might need an acnepril to cure it.

Why Acne develop then? It develops when there is a blockage with the hair follicles deep witin the skin and build a sebum results., And what is sebum? Sebum is an oily substance secreted by the sebaceous glands that helps prevent hair and skin from drying out. Little info bout acne. You don’t want it don’t you? It’s everyone’s enemy!

Is she having some natural slimming pills to maintain her slim figure and look stunningly beautiful? I believe not, it’s her natural way of maintaining her health. I asked, I answered :-)

I thought of posting about Jovit Baldivino - the first Pilipinas Got Talent (PGT) Grand Winner. After weeks or months of showing what Filipinos got, the verdict has finally declared last June 12, 2010. Jovit Baldivino bested the other 11 finalists singing “Too Much Love Will Kill You”, gained 48.48% votes almost half of the total votes. I fortunately was able to see his performance though I came all the way from PLM - Manila and went home after class and arrived at 10pm. As he was singing this song, audience kept on yelling and clapping of amazement.

Jovit took home the 2M pesos, uber enough for his family. He sells soimai to augment his family income and do some extra singing in some events. He is from Batangas and dreaming big to help his family.

This is one of the proofs that dreaming really helps an individual. Dream with faith, dream and do your best. Don’t get tired, everything will be at hand if you persevere. It takes time though, but it is a great feeling if achieved with best efforts, confidence and faith, very fulfilling. Don’t give up.

Last May 26th, after the Sunsilk Co-Creation Fashion Week event at MOA Atrium, there was an after party dinner held at Mall of Asia, during the after party, Sunsilk announced the blog contest and how bloggers will win a Lenovo Idealpad and ipod. I fortunately was able to join in Sunsilk Expert- Touched Style Blog contest which was ended on 31st of May, last minute, I submitted my entry to Hair Experts. After a week or two, there came the announcement of the finalists, I received an email from one of the admin peeps and she told me that I made it yey!! As I have written in one of my posts here, I really wasn’t expecting to win, my purpose is to gain viewers, that is why when I learned that I was one of the finalists, I felt happy and lucky as this was unexpected.

I was lucky that the venue for Sunsilk Expert-Touched Style Blog Contest awarding of winners was at Taste Asia, few walks away from the office as I am working just nearby the mentioned resto, at One E-Com Center yey. Ms. Rona texted me an hour before the awarding started. Since I will be just utilizing the elevator and few of my steps, I left the office ten minutes before 12, it was a lunch awarding though. And as I reached the area, I found one mom and three beautiful ladies including Ms. Rona.

The mom I am referring here is the mother of one of the finalists Paula, she was the early bird, next is me, followed by Ellen Joy Castel, also Paula came in right from her Med class from PLM (and she is my fellow PLMayer too!!) then people from Unilever, led by Carlo and Jem (oh sorry I forgot the rest). The lunch was served. I enjoyed our lunch while conversing with Ellen, Tita Tala and Carlo. By the way, the topic was interesting, it was about a motherhood feeling towards their sons and daughters being in a relationship (I will have a separate post for this one, this really needs a sincere and innate idea).

Photobucket

While we were having our lunch, Arvin and Kessa arrived and joined us eating.

The long wait was over, there came the announcement of winners. Well, all of us were already winners, 5 got home an iPod nano and the lucky winner went home with a Lenovo Idealpad. First blogger called was Ellen Joy Castel, next was Paula, followed by Arvin and the girl Willit, whoa, two more and my name has not been called yet. Finally, my name was called, OMG, I thought it was me hehehe, but I was still very happy. Kessa took home the Lenovo Idealpad, lucky her, a great birthday gift! When we were having our picture taking I was beside Kessa and I felt her whole body shaking, indicating the excitement and how happy she was to be the winner of this contest. I felt her happiness and I was very happy for her! Paula was not able to witness and receive her ipod, she left at 12:30 because she still had a class to attend to.

When we attended the Sunsilk Co Creation Philippine Fashion Week last May 26, 2010 at SM Mall of Asia, there was an after party dinner done at Taste Asia. Yummy foods were served, there were the Unilever peeps, media and blogger, of course staff were there as well. While we were enjoying our food and had some net too, the host announced the Sunsilk Style Blog contest, criteria were enumerated and how will the bloggers win the lenovo laptop and ipod. I was having a wee conversation with Sara Cada that time and we discussed the blog contest. We agreed that it was tough, you need to gain a popularity in order to win. And so because I am not that popular, I was discouraged to join. What me decide to join then? Alex Dizon is one of my fellow bloggers who was there at fashion event too and I saw that he announced or posted his blog entry, and read it of course. That was the time that I decided to join, one day before the contest ended. The deadline was May 31st and I was still drafting mine on the night of 30th. I had difficulty composing it, what concept and how can I make it as incredible and convincing, then finally I thought, why not tell my personal experience using Sunsilk shampoo - only new best ever sunsilk completes my fashion statement, so my post has finished. I submitted it, I made it to the deadline. As I did it, winning was not on my mind, it never came to me, I saw great posts and made me realize that I have no chance of winning. Winning was not my first purpose, coz i know i can’t. And luckily, I saw at SunsilkHair Expert’s page that I am one of the finalists of the mentioned contest.

Sunsilk Blog Finalists -  i see my name!!

On June 16, the winners, lucky winners of Lenovo laptop and iPod will be awarded, at Taste Asia again., i will be seeing my fellow bloggers as well. I am keeping my fingers crossed. However, win or lose, I still will be very happy, being chosen again as the finalist is already an award, having been able to see my name is a great great prize for me.

Good luck to all of us, especially Ellen Joy Castel - though we’ve not met yet, I am looking forward to meeting you and Arvin Ello, whom I’ve met the first bloggers’ event I’ve attended through Ms. Janette Toral.

Kudos and till then,

Pinoy Got Talent Final Semis

Posted by Dhina Lieva on Sunday Jun 6, 2010 Under Entertainment, Pinoy Got Talent

I was able to watch the final semi final of Pinoy Got Talent, semi finalists were from Baguio, Cavite, Bacolod and Cordillera, wait there still one but I forgot where she came from, the healthy singer whom I’ve said in one of my posts to try weight loss pills, she was big last night. Judges even asked her what did she do as she really gained weight. She told Kris Aquino, “Nothing, I did a lot of sleeping and drunk cold water” and she thought these were the reason of her being big. She also told them “Perhaps because of my dress, this was my first time to don this”. Hmmmm….

And the child, the blind child who sang May Bukas Pa, touched again the judges hearts, he made Ai-Ai and Kris cried. I myself also cried when I was watching him, he is very lucky that though he is blind God has given him a very great gift. Goodluck kid!

Hope I will be able to watch the PGT grand finals, I do not know when this is slated though, but i’ll see.

Michael Jackson on the Bus

Posted by Dhina Lieva on Sunday Jun 6, 2010 Under Daily Living, Entertainment

To kill the boredom felt by the passengers of JAC Liner bus going to Quezon, the conductor played cd - History of Michael Jackson. Since, I also love his songs, I captured video of them. Some concerts of him were shown, witnessing the crowd during the concerts, how they patronized MJ, screamed out loud, others fainted.

Among the songs played were Billy Jeans, Beat It, Liberian Girl dedicated to Elizabeth Taylor, Smooth Criminal, The Way You Make Me Feel, You Are Not Alone was the last I heard. I needed to stepped down and I did not need to stay just to finish the tracks lols.. :-)

I will try to post videos here, albeit captured through my phone, will update this later. OMG, I can’t convert the videos, they’re 3gp.. I have here the teaser instead from youtube. ENJOY!!

OMG, there’s new Sunsilk co-creation *woot*!!! I am sure many of us will grab this in the market wohoo!! Let me share to you how Sunsilk is very important to me.

I’ve been maintaining my long hair since I was in grade school. I tried cutting it shoulder length when I was in my fourth grade and second year high school. My classmates teased me and called me diwata for having that hair, I don’t care, so long as I feel confident having that long, it’s my clowning ahahaha, crowning glory anyway.

You wouldn’t believe me but this is the truth, I started using Sunsilk shampoo since I was a kid. I remember during my elementary days, I was using the pink sachet, my cousin was using orange then. I love the smell, it leaves my hair smelling fresh all day long. I never dared trying other brand as I was afraid something unwanted might happen to me, see my hair, it was that long. Pardon the photos, digital camera haven’t existed that time yet. Are you willing to give up that crown for a different brand? I sticked!

Photobucket

This is how I blog, too serious :-) :-) . Those pictures are way way too old, grade four, fourth year high school, fourth year college and the last one was during my last day at Rapid Forming Corporation last August 2004.

Wow, it’s been six years after that, and what now? Would you believe I still have that hair?

Photobucket

I told you :-) and I am still using sunsilk shampoo, same variant – pink. I never had a hard time managing my hair, fixing it and styling it. Letting down my long hair is my sole style, simple yet elegant. I am confident that with that simple long hair, I still create an impression. I remember when I was in grade sixth, one of the guys in our barangay told me “Neng, ganda ng buhok mo, wag mo ipapagupit buhok mo ha!” It was waist-length then, and I never tied it too.

Thank you Sunsilk for giving me that manageable, long hair, I am not blessed with beautiful face, however, with my hair, I feel that I am. With my hair, it does not cost me much, I don’t even need to visit the salon, fix and repair my hair. I don’t need to ask the stylist to style my hair every time there is an event, I can style it on my own.

Photobucket

What more interesting is, with the new Sunsilk co-creation especially the “Smooth and Manageable” variant, it really completes my look! Smooth and manageable which is enriched with Keratin Yogurt Nutri-Complex, it gently cleanses and coats my hair strands to smoothen my hair. Thank you Yuko Yamashita for teaming up with Sunsilk and created this most advanced Smooth and Manageable formulation for extraordinary smoother. It helps me achieved an expert-touched and salon quality hair.

Photobucket

I want to maintain my hair as is, I couldn’t count how many commendations I received with my volumed long hair. It is indeed my crown that will never be transferred and bequeathed to anyone, it is solely mine. I am not selfish, ajejeje, if only I can give this hair to you, nevertheless, I can give you the shampoo I am using so you can achieve an expert-touched hair like mine :-)

Only Sunsilk, new best ever sunsilk always completes my fashion statement!!!

The Prettiest Model of the Night

Posted by Dhina Lieva on Thursday May 27, 2010 Under Daily Living, Entertainment, Female Topic, weight loss

Lookat these models, look how slim they are and how their dresses fit in well with them, I might want to wonder if they are taking any lipozene, hmmm…

11

The model in the middle is the prettiest model among them, and if I am not mistaken, she already is a professional model, seen on television. I even mistakenly mentioned her being the Ms. Earth. She has a resemblance with Philippine Ms. Earth. I just do not know what the name of her is. Would you know?

As I have mentioned in my previos blog, I was one of the lucky bloggers who made it to register to be the guest in the Sunsilk Philippine Fashion Week. It’s a 13th season of the Philippine Fashion Week, it is a must see fashion show and events for all thouse fashionistas, with me as an exception.

Philippine Fashion Week started yesterday May 26 and will last until June 2, 2010 to unveil the Holiday 2010 collection from different local designers. The initial fashion show was luckily witnessed by me and my fellow bloggers. Other events and shows will be performed and conducted at SM MOA Atrium and SMX Convention Center just beside the MOA.

I will reviewing the very first fashion show I have ever attended and it’s the Sunsilk. Upon arriving the mall. I went directly to the event area and looked for Ms. Joyce Ramos who was the one attending the bloggers. I saw her right away because there was a black signed “BLOGGERS” and I knew the only girl in front of it was her. Without any reluctancy, I approached and asked “Ms. Joyce?, I am Dhina Lieva, a blogger” then she browsed the guest list and found my name, had me signed and handed me my ticket.

entrance ticket

The gate opened at 6:30pm, I sitted beside my fellow blogger Alex Dizon, second row away from stage, a perfect place to take photos and see models. Unfortunately, since we were very near, my neck stiffs until now as I was always looking up to the models watching and capturing pictures.

There were four Sunsilk variants introduced during that event together with the fashionable outfits designed by eight designers. Let me tell you something broad about it, as written by Annie Ringor.

“Sunsilk has once again brought an innovative concept to life by partnering with the world’s hair specialist to come up with products that address very specific hair types and conditions within each of their areas of expertise. It is shown in television as the new Sunsilk’s commercial. This fusion is known as “co-creation” and is unique to Sunsilk. Under this concept, two parties with complimentary expertise and a shared vision work together to create something new, different and better.”

Yesterday, the show started at around 7:15pm, hosted by Sarah Meier. She introduced the Sunsilk Co-Creation and then further discussed by the Brand Manager Jem Mercado, followed by the EVP Joey Espino.

1

Co-creators of Couture

Sunsilk Smooth and Manageable (pink) was the first variant introduced. Models ramped with couture designed by the tandem of Arnold Galang and John Paras.

2

3

Second was the Sunsilk Strong and Long - color green variant, visually represented the designs from the pair of Joel Escober and Raoul Ramirez.

5
4

The orange variant Sunsilk Damage Repair was the third introduced, models with couture designed by Chris Diaz ans Veejay Floresco. Stunning orange, lovely fashion designs I must say!

6

7

8

9

Ready to wear with a couture twist by Jerome Salaya Ang partnered with Lyle Ibañez were the designed donned by the fourth and final variant, the violet sunsilk. I want to say that I was impressed with these designes, it makes a lass more glamorous when these are donned. Even comfy to wear yet sexy-looking still.

13

After an hour of show, catwalking and presentation of couture of the eight designers, the show has ended. Presented before the stage were the entire models with Jem Mercado and Sarah Meier. The show lasted for an hour.

15

Ms. Jem Mercado - the Brand’s General Manager and Sarah Meier, the event’s host

17

The event did not end there, all the guest went to Taste Asia for an after party dinner. I joined Alex Dizon and Nherz in this dinner. Music and live stream video presentation were done. There were also netbooks available so we were able to update what was happening then.

To all the bloggers, fyi, there will be a blog contest about Sunsilk by the way, I have yet to find what are the mechanics. I am sure many bloggers will join because laptops and ipods are at stake! :-) Nice, love it!

Because I still have to report for a night shift work, I left ahead of my fellow bloggers, left Taste Asia at about 9:20pm. When I exited the venue, the crew handed me my give away!! Yey, four bottles of new sunsilk co-creation variants… I will no longer buy shampoo for many months, thank you Sunsilk!!!

Photobucket

And so that is the present I’ve got, months supply of shampoo, weee :-)

Thank you so much Az Colladilla for sending us the invite, if not you, I will never have a chance to witness this show, I perhaps would be anywhere the event area looking for a best position to watch the show.

Thank you sunsilk for the luscious and eniticing dinner and the give away. And thank you Alex and Nherz and to the newly met blogger Sarah Cada, Jonel Uy and Ryan San Juan were also there, also spotted the Espacio couple. Hope to see you next blogger’s event :-)

Sunsilk Fashion Week at SM MOA Atrium

Posted by Dhina Lieva on Wednesday May 26, 2010 Under Business, Daily Living, Entertainment, Female Topic

I made it to register to AZ invitation, actually, the invitation was sent through PINOY BLOGGERS NETWORK facebook group, 50 early birds were selected. I don’t know why I am so excited that this event visited me in my dream until I woke up and then cannot sleep anymore, and it’s the reason why I am blogging. It will be my very first time to attend a fashion show event, wherein my name is listed as a guest, thanks really AZ and Ms. Joyce Ramos of Sunsilk.

 Photobucket

The event will start at 6:30 pm at SM MOA Atrium (huh where is it?) will be followed by a dinner or after party at Taste Asia. If it’s not in MOA, I think I can’t make it. I am working beside the mall, but not as saleslady though :-) no one will accept me as one jejeje, and furthermore, I am scheduled to work night shift, so after the event, I will go straight to work.

The sad thing is, my camera has no MC yet, I am using the built in memory and it has 37 shots capacity, might as well grab and ask pictures from my co-bloggers.

I believe there are lots of companies who will be joining the fashion week, I have never been to MOA since last week and I did not saw should there is any advertisement about it. Just heard also from Wowowee that Robin and his kids will also be participating the Jag’s on Friday. And I am not invited anymore, I will be joining the crowd this time :-( not unless AZ also has a connection with Jag :-)

Will be updating this post soon!! Watch out :-)

There is an ongoing Avatar street art exbition today here at SM Mall of Asia which I think started at around 2pm. As we passed by the pathway, just between SM Hypermarket and SM Mall of Asia entrance, we saw four groups sitting on the floor and painting different Avatar characters. All of them are drawing under the heat of the sun, yet they endured it trying to make their art amazing.

I took photos of the groups with thier outputs half-finished.

My Bets - 9 & 15

Posted by Dhina Lieva on Wednesday May 19, 2010 Under Daily Living, Entertainment, Female Topic

All of us have bets when it comes to many competition, however, this doesn’t mean that your bet will win, lucky if they will.

Here are my bets, my eyes judged them :-)

Candidate No. 9 -  Mary Ellaine Ching - I always see her in the church (BVMQW) attending the mass with her mother and siblings, I sometimes sit beside her. When she was still young, she was not beautiful as she is now, however, as she grew up, she develops the beauty she has and she got her body shaped.

Photobucket

Candidate No. 15 - Mylene Claura - love your own. Not only that she is from Cabatang where I also reside, I also know her as an intelligent teen. I was their guest speaker when she graduated in elementary and she was among the top 5 students of their class.

For now those are my bet….Personally speaking…. Yet, whoever wins, i know she deserves it!! Just be a role model after winning the title…

Angel Locsin’s Latest 2010 F&H Photo

Posted by Dhina Lieva on Wednesday Apr 7, 2010 Under ASAP XV, Daily Living, Entertainment, Female Topic

I went on strolling the MOA yesterday, visited some of the boutiques and scrutinized their items, as well as the price, and decide whether to buy it or not.

What caught my eyes and attention was the photo, latest photo of Angel Locsin in (F&H) Folded and HUng. She really is stunning, awesome, beautiful and sexy, what else can I say, but, lovely! *woot* (photos to be taken and posted later)

I hope she does not age, otherwise, I think she will need to use an anti- wrinkle cream to look young forever. At any rate, I still love her, though she dosn’t have much TV appearances nowadays, the fact that she transferred to ABS-CBN is enough for me to adore him though :-)

Angel, stay as you are :-)
