I have been blogging since 2008 and honestly, there are still words that seem unfamiliar to me. Like the Link Building, can I ask you this, is this similar to backlinking? Wehhhhh, I have been hearing this from many, yet I just shrugged, what for? All I knew is I blog, I write and I enjoy this. And then eventually, I realized this will help you increase your page’s traffic. I should have link my page to many correct?

August, and I need to renew my domain, it will be turning two next month and the disk space is almost full that I also need to upgrade, it makes my page loading slowly. As I was logging in my panel, I see the red disk, oh no, it should be green! Thanks to my fellow blogger who advised me not to upload pictures on my domain but use the other site, it helped! I transferred those big megabytes picture to that site and viola, I saved a lot of space, but not now I badly needed to request an additional disk space, otherwise, this will appear “Error Loading Page, error 404″, i don’t want this. Before this happens, I will contact **** right?

I received an invitation last Thursday regarding the  Sunsilk Co-Creation Media Launch slated and conducted on Friday 6pm at Whitespace Makati City. Two of the seven hair experts came here in Manila to launch the New Sunsilk Co Creations, they were Yuko Yamashita and Teddy Charles. Sarah Geronimo, the main endorser of Sunsilk was there to help promote the product. I missed it totally!

Sunsilk has seven new variants, for hair protection, dandruff control, smooth and silky, they also has one   hair loss cure or hair fall control. During the first two Sunsilk events, they gave me and my fellow bloggers sunsilk shampoos, I gave some to my friends.

I hope there will be another event like this, and I wish, lassitude would not struck me again.

We cannot deny the fact that we are currently living in a modern day and techy generation. All people even at young age is aware of this, from radio or walkie talkie, to beeper to cellphones, iphones, to computers - desktop, laptop, netbook, ideapad and ipad; these are some of the modern technologies people tend to be busy using with. It’s very beneficicial though, we can get so many important information like surfing the net, it’s out tertiary source of data, as we’ve discussed in Method. Not only searchint information, there is these social network sites wherein every one has the chance to reconnect with friends and kins. Likewise with the protruding and developing online store, it’s like a circuit city wherein everyone can browse items online and choose those that catch our interest.

It is indeed beneficial to all of us, yet this has disadvantages other people misuse these gadgets, and that we should learn to be wary of.

During one of the blogger’s event last June 16, I learned that one of my fellow bloggers and finalists had her laptop wrecked due to the accident caused by the falling ceiling fan, oopss I think it’s a wall fan. Anyway, she shared to me that the wall fan fell on top of her laptop that finally wrecked it and did not function anymore, so sad. She had her fingers stitched too as they were also affected by the falling fan.

Since she is a blogger, I know the feeling of losing an important property such that a laptop, it is very important in blogging, and I know she can’t live without it. Fortunately, she already has one now. Welcome to the blogging mode again

When I was just starting to blog two years ago, one of my purposes is to have something where I can express my thoughts and feelings, and I found this blogging. I don’t mind if this is open to public and readable to every one what I had on my mind was to express what I feel as if I am saying it to a person face to face. I find it facile expressing my feelings through writing rather than personally sharing it to a person.

As I was honing myself from this hobby, I learned that there are lots of things I need to know, such as the page rank, index, seo, backlinks and etc. I had no idea that updating your blog daily and gaining more readers and unique visitors will increase your page rank and that will have the advantage of engaging into internet marketing. HOW? Notice the ads flashing on my blog, that is one. Others are through paid posts. Having a good seo or search engine optimization - for others who’s not familiar with seo, it is the process of improving the volume or quality of traffic to a website or a webpage such as a blog through natural or unpaid search results, the theory is that, the earlier or the higher a site or blog appears in the search reults list, the more visitors it will receive from the search engine. And now you will realize how important it is for your blog to have a good seo standing, this will enhance your internet marketing. I notice this, every time I search something, the first I click is the one listed first, so might as well work on improving your blog’s seo

I don’t know if mine has a good seo standing, it doesn’t matter anyway, so long as I always update this and able to express what I feel and share information to other people around. And I hope, this blog somehow inspire my readers. Some though is not inspiring, but I make sure that I have posts that are inspiring enough, sharing my opinions, it’s my blog theme anyway, to opine on a certain things about life

Last May 26^th, after the Sunsilk Co-Creation Fashion Week event at MOA Atrium, there was an after party dinner held at Mall of Asia, during the after party, Sunsilk announced the blog contest and how bloggers will win a Lenovo Idealpad and ipod. I fortunately was able to join in Sunsilk Expert- Touched Style Blog contest which was ended on 31^st of May, last minute, I submitted my entry to Hair Experts. After a week or two, there came the announcement of the finalists, I received an email from one of the admin peeps and she told me that I made it yey!! As I have written in one of my posts here, I really wasn’t expecting to win, my purpose is to gain viewers, that is why when I learned that I was one of the finalists, I felt happy and lucky as this was unexpected.

I was lucky that the venue for Sunsilk Expert-Touched Style Blog Contest awarding of winners was at Taste Asia, few walks away from the office as I am working just nearby the mentioned resto, at One E-Com Center yey. Ms. Rona texted me an hour before the awarding started. Since I will be just utilizing the elevator and few of my steps, I left the office ten minutes before 12, it was a lunch awarding though. And as I reached the area, I found one mom and three beautiful ladies including Ms. Rona.

The mom I am referring here is the mother of one of the finalists Paula, she was the early bird, next is me, followed by Ellen Joy Castel, also Paula came in right from her Med class from PLM (and she is my fellow PLMayer too!!) then people from Unilever, led by Carlo and Jem (oh sorry I forgot the rest). The lunch was served. I enjoyed our lunch while conversing with Ellen, Tita Tala and Carlo. By the way, the topic was interesting, it was about a motherhood feeling towards their sons and daughters being in a relationship (I will have a separate post for this one, this really needs a sincere and innate idea).

While we were having our lunch, Arvin and Kessa arrived and joined us eating.

The long wait was over, there came the announcement of winners. Well, all of us were already winners, 5 got home an iPod nano and the lucky winner went home with a Lenovo Idealpad. First blogger called was Ellen Joy Castel, next was Paula, followed by Arvin and the girl Willit, whoa, two more and my name has not been called yet. Finally, my name was called, OMG, I thought it was me hehehe, but I was still very happy. Kessa took home the Lenovo Idealpad, lucky her, a great birthday gift! When we were having our picture taking I was beside Kessa and I felt her whole body shaking, indicating the excitement and how happy she was to be the winner of this contest. I felt her happiness and I was very happy for her! Paula was not able to witness and receive her ipod, she left at 12:30 because she still had a class to attend to.

When we attended the Sunsilk Co Creation Philippine Fashion Week last May 26, 2010 at SM Mall of Asia, there was an after party dinner done at Taste Asia. Yummy foods were served, there were the Unilever peeps, media and blogger, of course staff were there as well. While we were enjoying our food and had some net too, the host announced the Sunsilk Style Blog contest, criteria were enumerated and how will the bloggers win the lenovo laptop and ipod. I was having a wee conversation with Sara Cada that time and we discussed the blog contest. We agreed that it was tough, you need to gain a popularity in order to win. And so because I am not that popular, I was discouraged to join. What me decide to join then? Alex Dizon is one of my fellow bloggers who was there at fashion event too and I saw that he announced or posted his blog entry, and read it of course. That was the time that I decided to join, one day before the contest ended. The deadline was May 31st and I was still drafting mine on the night of 30th. I had difficulty composing it, what concept and how can I make it as incredible and convincing, then finally I thought, why not tell my personal experience using Sunsilk shampoo - only new best ever sunsilk completes my fashion statement, so my post has finished. I submitted it, I made it to the deadline. As I did it, winning was not on my mind, it never came to me, I saw great posts and made me realize that I have no chance of winning. Winning was not my first purpose, coz i know i can’t. And luckily, I saw at SunsilkHair Expert’s page that I am one of the finalists of the mentioned contest.

As I have noticed, many of my fellow bloggers are holding t0o many contest for their readers and other bloggers as well. And this is one of the ways to improve the blog’s rank, and it’s effective. I don’t know how they do it, but they are being sponsored by some companies or products. They are giving away products, goodies or items from that sponsors, gift cheques also are common. This could be indexed in the net for sure. I tried pdf search engine and found that this one is also helpful when you are searching for something.

 I have not tried making a contest for my readers, I don’t even think I have one though :-(  What I do is update my page every day, make sure I always have a post at least one, post about everything and anything under the sun.

If only I could also hold contests for my readers (hoping I have) to reach out for them ajejejeje it’s a nice and effective way anyway.

However, I have made a way of helping my reader, I posted some tips and advices about something like resume, finding a lob, basic blogging, and some other inspiring experiences I had. I think in these ways, I have reached them somehow.

I received an email from Ms. Joyce Ramos of Sunsilk about the mechanics of Sunlsilk blog contest, “Only New Sunsilk Co-Creation Completes My Fashion Statement”. I drafted my supposedly entry last Friday when I was yet to sleep and had not feel sleepy too. Until now, I have not finish it. I have until tomorrow to finish the entry but I feel not inspired to join. I don’t know if my fellow bloggers who joined the Sunsik Co-creation Fashion Week joined in.

As I have mentioned in my previos blog, I was one of the lucky bloggers who made it to register to be the guest in the Sunsilk Philippine Fashion Week. It’s a 13th season of the Philippine Fashion Week, it is a must see fashion show and events for all thouse fashionistas, with me as an exception.

Philippine Fashion Week started yesterday May 26 and will last until June 2, 2010 to unveil the Holiday 2010 collection from different local designers. The initial fashion show was luckily witnessed by me and my fellow bloggers. Other events and shows will be performed and conducted at SM MOA Atrium and SMX Convention Center just beside the MOA.

I will reviewing the very first fashion show I have ever attended and it’s the Sunsilk. Upon arriving the mall. I went directly to the event area and looked for Ms. Joyce Ramos who was the one attending the bloggers. I saw her right away because there was a black signed “BLOGGERS” and I knew the only girl in front of it was her. Without any reluctancy, I approached and asked “Ms. Joyce?, I am Dhina Lieva, a blogger” then she browsed the guest list and found my name, had me signed and handed me my ticket.

The gate opened at 6:30pm, I sitted beside my fellow blogger Alex Dizon, second row away from stage, a perfect place to take photos and see models. Unfortunately, since we were very near, my neck stiffs until now as I was always looking up to the models watching and capturing pictures.

There were four Sunsilk variants introduced during that event together with the fashionable outfits designed by eight designers. Let me tell you something broad about it, as written by Annie Ringor.

“Sunsilk has once again brought an innovative concept to life by partnering with the world’s hair specialist to come up with products that address very specific hair types and conditions within each of their areas of expertise. It is shown in television as the new Sunsilk’s commercial. This fusion is known as “co-creation” and is unique to Sunsilk. Under this concept, two parties with complimentary expertise and a shared vision work together to create something new, different and better.”

Yesterday, the show started at around 7:15pm, hosted by Sarah Meier. She introduced the Sunsilk Co-Creation and then further discussed by the Brand Manager Jem Mercado, followed by the EVP Joey Espino.

Sunsilk Smooth and Manageable (pink) was the first variant introduced. Models ramped with couture designed by the tandem of Arnold Galang and John Paras.

Second was the Sunsilk Strong and Long - color green variant, visually represented the designs from the pair of Joel Escober and Raoul Ramirez.

The orange variant Sunsilk Damage Repair was the third introduced, models with couture designed by Chris Diaz ans Veejay Floresco. Stunning orange, lovely fashion designs I must say!

Ready to wear with a couture twist by Jerome Salaya Ang partnered with Lyle Ibañez were the designed donned by the fourth and final variant, the violet sunsilk. I want to say that I was impressed with these designes, it makes a lass more glamorous when these are donned. Even comfy to wear yet sexy-looking still.

After an hour of show, catwalking and presentation of couture of the eight designers, the show has ended. Presented before the stage were the entire models with Jem Mercado and Sarah Meier. The show lasted for an hour.

The event did not end there, all the guest went to Taste Asia for an after party dinner. I joined Alex Dizon and Nherz in this dinner. Music and live stream video presentation were done. There were also netbooks available so we were able to update what was happening then.

To all the bloggers, fyi, there will be a blog contest about Sunsilk by the way, I have yet to find what are the mechanics. I am sure many bloggers will join because laptops and ipods are at stake! Nice, love it!

Because I still have to report for a night shift work, I left ahead of my fellow bloggers, left Taste Asia at about 9:20pm. When I exited the venue, the crew handed me my give away!! Yey, four bottles of new sunsilk co-creation variants… I will no longer buy shampoo for many months, thank you Sunsilk!!!

I find it easy to edit, play and see what and how my blog will look like, I really love pink and blue combination of course with black. What I found hard is the header, hmmm, I tried experimenting and editing it many times, went on and off the original cartoon-like, tried the pink rounded-ribbony, the orange flower inserting the title, then went back to the original cartoon-lile character because all of those I have mentioned did not work and fit well. ANd then finally, after searching google with pink heart wallpaper, I got it, played many times, finally I have it. Hope it looks more enticing ajejeje like ice cream and cake, soooo yummy.

Finally I was able to edit the title of my posts too and have it forte font, and the title I Just Opine as MS…na-aah so oblivious, I need an excel to remind me what font I use. I feel like dancing in the stage, I did it without browsing any html codes and stylesheet editing book, I did it without the help of web designer!! I myself is a web designer now yahoooo!!! I am jumping with joy.. I can now share what I learn and know about stylesheet editing (wee) Thanks so much Ryan!! You are a big part of this success ahahaha, I called it success

I finally found time to claim the prize from Ysa office last week after my night work, I left the office at 10 am and still had the zest to visit the mentioned office located at White Plains Subd. Nag-effort! The reason behind was because of the picture, and fortunately, they took me pictures receiving the prize, but I have no copy though. Among the contents are two lightening soaps, roll on, lightening cream, lightening lotion and diet supplement which I am currently using. Why not try, who knows, I might be as white as Jinky - or Greta.

Wishing to win more from the blog contests!! I am yet to think when to use the 5k GC I won from Perstaym KO Blog contest, when and where… A three-day cruisin alone…

I envied PBB winners, the PBB Double Up winners for winning and receiving Sony VAIO laptops. Weeeee, I want one, but so expensive. But oh my, color is cute, and features are great! Every time I stroll here in MOA, I can;t help but be amazed, and wished I have one.

To help my classmates start their own blog and to earn from it, I am making this post just for them. Follow these steps and you will surely get there, bear in mind that what will I suggest is based on my experience.

I had my first blog at friendster.com, entire posts are just about anything. Next, was at wordpress.com, the free domain offered by wordpress.com, it was the honeydhynnes.wordpress.com, unfortunately, wordpress does not accept advertisement and any paid icon like payperpost, dneero etc, so it was suspended after earning thousands of visitors. I cannot access it now.

And then finally, as advised by my friend, I went to page.ph (sorry classmates, I can’t link the page as this might look as paid post), i bought a domain for Php600 and the disk or memory worth P400, I paid a total of Php1,000, that’s renewable. You can actually select from the package they offer, I bought the cheapest! You have three options to pay, by paying through their BDO account (don’t worry, page.ph will send you the account name and account number), by LBC (same, page.ph will send you the options to pay). After you pay, they will send you the steps how to activate your domain, you may choose a website or a blog, just choose blog. Oh by the way, before proceeding to page.ph, you need to think of the nice and appealing url, make it creative and unique! Mine is dhina-lieva.com, why, because I want my name indexed in google or every time my name is searched, I want it appears in just one click of the mouse, try it!. Basically, that is the first step you need to do.

You also need to register to paypal.com.ph, it is where you receive the payment from advertisers once you get approved by them. You only need to provide your email address and address. Please note that at your initial registration, they will ask for your credit card account, it is necessary, they will charge you an amount of less than P100, don’t worry, it will be returned to your account, purpose of them is just to verify that you really have an account. You also need to enrol your bank account number and name, paypal will ask for a bank code, you may email paypal to inquire what is the code of your bank account, or you may just ask me, I will be willing to retrieve it from my email

 Once you already set up your blog, you can have the google adsense right away, adsense does not ask how old your blog is, just google it, use keyword adsense, and register. Anything like code will be pasted to your blog, please be wary of editing the codes, your template might be ruined, to be sure, copy the original html design before editing so you have a back up. By the way, what is adsense? It is an advertisement it be links or banner, anyone who visits your blog and click those, you will get paid for it, just don’t click it by yourself, you will not get paid, the IP address is recorded in adsense, ask your friends instead After $100 worth of clicks, you can now receive check.

You can also register at nuffnang.com.ph, it is like the adsense, the only difference is, nuffnang offers fabulous contests to the bloggers, and I won once! Just follow the instructions nuffnang will give you. You need also to register your blog, the url and the title. You have to reach P2,000 worth of click before you receive a check.

This is how you can actually earn from blogging, by making a post or review. If your blog is three month-old, you can register it to payperpost.com, inpostlinks.com, payu2blog.com, blogvertise.com, blog4reviews.com, loudlaunch.com, socialspark.com, blogadvertisingstore.com and ah from them I get paid, especially from blogadvertisingstore, payu2blog and payperpost. Amount of post starts from $5-10, payu2blog has a fixed $5.00 rate, but they give you minimum of six assignments or opportunities each week, and they pay you after two weeks. Payperpost also gives you  opportunities to write, and amount ranges from $1-10, payment will be sent after 30 days. All of them send payment through paypal.com, that’s how important paypal is.

It’s up to you what topic will you write, mine is just about anything and everything under the sun. You can blog about foods and fashion, entertainment or politics, just be wary about what you write, you might get sued or anything if you’re hitting someone. Just hit yourself jejeje,…

It is very relaxing because whenever bloggers meet in an event, it’s really a stress-free time, no talking about problems, no talking about work, all those are left behind and talk about that day alone. Sometimes you can even ask information and tips from those experienced bloggers about blogging, they share it to the extent of what they know, they are not selfish though! No competition, you write with your free will.

What I just said….. I want to share that I am now using a sun wireless broadband inserted in a smart modem. Yes, you read it right, it’s possible now. If only I knew it before, I should not spent P995  for buying smart broadband and waiting one and half hours to have it, I should have known this before and make my globe tattoo broadband openline so I can use smart and sun, a lot of savings right? Too late, I already have two.

I was informed by my classmate that a modem can become openline….He gave me the contact number of the person doing such, I texted the imei model and huawei number and viola! he gave me the unlock key and instructions of making it work, making the sun broadband sim work  in a smart modem. Sun broadsim costs Php50 with free 5 hours internet surfing. I am enjoying it free!! (yey)..

Actually the reason why I bought a sun broadsim (wow new term!) (why not save this first to be sure)… is to apply for a postpaid.. I heard sun is doing well here so why not try??

I’ll go back to studying mode… It’s Wednesday tomorrow…and I surmise the spelling of some words in this article are misspelled, the keyboard responds too slowly… Just drop some comment here if you want to know how to make your modem openline

I think now is the right time for me to change my 3 year old L7 motorola mobile phone. I am not really decided to have a new phone, the perfect one, that will replace my old moto mobile. I have been visiting so many stores, yet couldn’t find one that’s perfect.
