I Just Opine » Bloggers Event

Wow, and my blog will be turning 2 this August! And the space of my host is almost full! I need to upgrade it. I wanted to maintain this for long.

Ooooopppps, before I write something else about my blog, let me first enumerate those writers or bloggers I like. There are many though, they’re ubiquitous! I’ve seen them on television, I’ve seen and read them on magz and newspaper, and most of all, I mingled them on some occasion, and oopps, I am working with her too!!

Bloggers have created a great impact on the society, they’re one of the media covering news about anything, even personal like mine. Bloggers help spreading what’s latest, be it locally or internationally. Every year, bloggers who made an exceptional impact are being recognized. This year, it is to be done again.

The Top 10 Influential Bloggers for me are:

1. Nomnom Club - love foods and the information that can get from their blog.

2. The Black Fedora Blog by Ryan Joson who happen to be an officemate of mine. We did not know each other, until I noticed that she also has the friendster ID lace which I know is exclusively for bloggers only, that made me asked her about it.

3. Recycle Bin of a Middle Child by AlexDizon, I’ve met the author in one of the bloggers’ event last February.

4. ATBP (Around the Buzz Primetime!) by Fjords Allego who is also one of the first bloggers I’ve met in Blog4Reviews Christmas Party.

5. The Epitome of Me by Dhina Lieva, the author of I Just Opine. And I almost forgot mine. Bits and pieces again about anything.

6. Fat Girl No More by Yapatoots one of the first bloggers I’ve met too. Blog is all abour dieting and help others to feel lighter.

7. When in Manila by Vince G. video blogging and anything about Manila of course.

8. Simply Rins by Rina Alcantara - a blog about nail art and art hehehe, cartoon. She is a cartoonist. One of the newest bloggers I have met, just last month. :-)

9. Paolodome Edge a blog of a 17 year old free spirited guy with a different perspective and point of view in life.

10. Project 52 Weeks a video blog by Mica. Congrats, I’ve only seen this once but I think this is worth the recognition as this one is hard to organize and difficult to do. Kudos!

Good luck to all of the nominees, continue to emerge! Let us all do :-)

This is made possible by the sponsors Events and Corporate Video, Budget hotel in Makati, Pinoy Party Food, Copyediting Services, PR Agency Philippines, Budget Travel Philippines, Send Gifts to the Philippines, Black Friday Deals, Roomrent - units for rent, Search Profile Index, and Corporate Events Organizer.

Looking forward to another year of blogger’s recognition, I hope mine will qualify which I am sure will not :-) I still love blogging anyway, and meeting new people.

Till then,

I Missed Sunsilk Media Launch

Posted by Dhina Lieva on Tuesday Jul 20, 2010 Under Bloggers Event, Daily Living, Internet/Web Design/ Blogging

I received an invitation last Thursday regarding the  Sunsilk Co-Creation Media Launch slated and conducted on Friday 6pm at Whitespace Makati City. Two of the seven hair experts came here in Manila to launch the New Sunsilk Co Creations, they were Yuko Yamashita and Teddy Charles. Sarah Geronimo, the main endorser of Sunsilk was there to help promote the product. I missed it totally!

Sunsilk has seven new variants, for hair protection, dandruff control, smooth and silky, they also has one   hair loss cure or hair fall control. During the first two Sunsilk events, they gave me and my fellow bloggers sunsilk shampoos, I gave some to my friends. :-)

I hope there will be another event like this, and I wish, lassitude would not struck me again.

Till then,

Last May 26th, after the Sunsilk Co-Creation Fashion Week event at MOA Atrium, there was an after party dinner held at Mall of Asia, during the after party, Sunsilk announced the blog contest and how bloggers will win a Lenovo Idealpad and ipod. I fortunately was able to join in Sunsilk Expert- Touched Style Blog contest which was ended on 31st of May, last minute, I submitted my entry to Hair Experts. After a week or two, there came the announcement of the finalists, I received an email from one of the admin peeps and she told me that I made it yey!! As I have written in one of my posts here, I really wasn’t expecting to win, my purpose is to gain viewers, that is why when I learned that I was one of the finalists, I felt happy and lucky as this was unexpected.

I was lucky that the venue for Sunsilk Expert-Touched Style Blog Contest awarding of winners was at Taste Asia, few walks away from the office as I am working just nearby the mentioned resto, at One E-Com Center yey. Ms. Rona texted me an hour before the awarding started. Since I will be just utilizing the elevator and few of my steps, I left the office ten minutes before 12, it was a lunch awarding though. And as I reached the area, I found one mom and three beautiful ladies including Ms. Rona.

The mom I am referring here is the mother of one of the finalists Paula, she was the early bird, next is me, followed by Ellen Joy Castel, also Paula came in right from her Med class from PLM (and she is my fellow PLMayer too!!) then people from Unilever, led by Carlo and Jem (oh sorry I forgot the rest). The lunch was served. I enjoyed our lunch while conversing with Ellen, Tita Tala and Carlo. By the way, the topic was interesting, it was about a motherhood feeling towards their sons and daughters being in a relationship (I will have a separate post for this one, this really needs a sincere and innate idea).

While we were having our lunch, Arvin and Kessa arrived and joined us eating.

The long wait was over, there came the announcement of winners. Well, all of us were already winners, 5 got home an iPod nano and the lucky winner went home with a Lenovo Idealpad. First blogger called was Ellen Joy Castel, next was Paula, followed by Arvin and the girl Willit, whoa, two more and my name has not been called yet. Finally, my name was called, OMG, I thought it was me hehehe, but I was still very happy. Kessa took home the Lenovo Idealpad, lucky her, a great birthday gift! When we were having our picture taking I was beside Kessa and I felt her whole body shaking, indicating the excitement and how happy she was to be the winner of this contest. I felt her happiness and I was very happy for her! Paula was not able to witness and receive her ipod, she left at 12:30 because she still had a class to attend to.

Thank you so much Sunsilk for this wonderful blog contest. Looking forward to more promos from Hair Experts, we are here to support Sunsilk. Indeed, Sunsilk always completes my fashion statement.

When we attended the Sunsilk Co Creation Philippine Fashion Week last May 26, 2010 at SM Mall of Asia, there was an after party dinner done at Taste Asia. Yummy foods were served, there were the Unilever peeps, media and blogger, of course staff were there as well. While we were enjoying our food and had some net too, the host announced the Sunsilk Style Blog contest, criteria were enumerated and how will the bloggers win the lenovo laptop and ipod. I was having a wee conversation with Sara Cada that time and we discussed the blog contest. We agreed that it was tough, you need to gain a popularity in order to win. And so because I am not that popular, I was discouraged to join. What me decide to join then? Alex Dizon is one of my fellow bloggers who was there at fashion event too and I saw that he announced or posted his blog entry, and read it of course. That was the time that I decided to join, one day before the contest ended. The deadline was May 31st and I was still drafting mine on the night of 30th. I had difficulty composing it, what concept and how can I make it as incredible and convincing, then finally I thought, why not tell my personal experience using Sunsilk shampoo - only new best ever sunsilk completes my fashion statement, so my post has finished. I submitted it, I made it to the deadline. As I did it, winning was not on my mind, it never came to me, I saw great posts and made me realize that I have no chance of winning. Winning was not my first purpose, coz i know i can’t. And luckily, I saw at SunsilkHair Expert’s page that I am one of the finalists of the mentioned contest.

Sunsilk Blog Finalists -  i see my name!!

On June 16, the winners, lucky winners of Lenovo laptop and iPod will be awarded, at Taste Asia again., i will be seeing my fellow bloggers as well. I am keeping my fingers crossed. However, win or lose, I still will be very happy, being chosen again as the finalist is already an award, having been able to see my name is a great great prize for me.

Good luck to all of us, especially Ellen Joy Castel - though we’ve not met yet, I am looking forward to meeting you and Arvin Ello, whom I’ve met the first bloggers’ event I’ve attended through Ms. Janette Toral.

Kudos and till then,

I received an email from Ms. Joyce Ramos of Sunsilk about the mechanics of Sunlsilk blog contest, “Only New Sunsilk Co-Creation Completes My Fashion Statement”. I drafted my supposedly entry last Friday when I was yet to sleep and had not feel sleepy too. Until now, I have not finish it. I have until tomorrow to finish the entry but I feel not inspired to join. I don’t know if my fellow bloggers who joined the Sunsik Co-creation Fashion Week joined in.

Anyway, here are the photos I am supposed to include, “noon at ngayon”

As I have mentioned in my previos blog, I was one of the lucky bloggers who made it to register to be the guest in the Sunsilk Philippine Fashion Week. It’s a 13th season of the Philippine Fashion Week, it is a must see fashion show and events for all thouse fashionistas, with me as an exception.

Philippine Fashion Week started yesterday May 26 and will last until June 2, 2010 to unveil the Holiday 2010 collection from different local designers. The initial fashion show was luckily witnessed by me and my fellow bloggers. Other events and shows will be performed and conducted at SM MOA Atrium and SMX Convention Center just beside the MOA.

I will reviewing the very first fashion show I have ever attended and it’s the Sunsilk. Upon arriving the mall. I went directly to the event area and looked for Ms. Joyce Ramos who was the one attending the bloggers. I saw her right away because there was a black signed “BLOGGERS” and I knew the only girl in front of it was her. Without any reluctancy, I approached and asked “Ms. Joyce?, I am Dhina Lieva, a blogger” then she browsed the guest list and found my name, had me signed and handed me my ticket.

entrance ticket

The gate opened at 6:30pm, I sitted beside my fellow blogger Alex Dizon, second row away from stage, a perfect place to take photos and see models. Unfortunately, since we were very near, my neck stiffs until now as I was always looking up to the models watching and capturing pictures.

There were four Sunsilk variants introduced during that event together with the fashionable outfits designed by eight designers. Let me tell you something broad about it, as written by Annie Ringor.

“Sunsilk has once again brought an innovative concept to life by partnering with the world’s hair specialist to come up with products that address very specific hair types and conditions within each of their areas of expertise. It is shown in television as the new Sunsilk’s commercial. This fusion is known as “co-creation” and is unique to Sunsilk. Under this concept, two parties with complimentary expertise and a shared vision work together to create something new, different and better.”

Yesterday, the show started at around 7:15pm, hosted by Sarah Meier. She introduced the Sunsilk Co-Creation and then further discussed by the Brand Manager Jem Mercado, followed by the EVP Joey Espino.

1

Co-creators of Couture

Sunsilk Smooth and Manageable (pink) was the first variant introduced. Models ramped with couture designed by the tandem of Arnold Galang and John Paras.

2

3

Second was the Sunsilk Strong and Long - color green variant, visually represented the designs from the pair of Joel Escober and Raoul Ramirez.

5
4

The orange variant Sunsilk Damage Repair was the third introduced, models with couture designed by Chris Diaz ans Veejay Floresco. Stunning orange, lovely fashion designs I must say!

6

7

8

9

Ready to wear with a couture twist by Jerome Salaya Ang partnered with Lyle Ibañez were the designed donned by the fourth and final variant, the violet sunsilk. I want to say that I was impressed with these designes, it makes a lass more glamorous when these are donned. Even comfy to wear yet sexy-looking still.

After an hour of show, catwalking and presentation of couture of the eight designers, the show has ended. Presented before the stage were the entire models with Jem Mercado and Sarah Meier. The show lasted for an hour.

The event did not end there, all the guest went to Taste Asia for an after party dinner. I joined Alex Dizon and Nherz in this dinner. Music and live stream video presentation were done. There were also netbooks available so we were able to update what was happening then.

To all the bloggers, fyi, there will be a blog contest about Sunsilk by the way, I have yet to find what are the mechanics. I am sure many bloggers will join because laptops and ipods are at stake! :-) Nice, love it!

Because I still have to report for a night shift work, I left ahead of my fellow bloggers, left Taste Asia at about 9:20pm. When I exited the venue, the crew handed me my give away!! Yey, four bottles of new sunsilk co-creation variants… I will no longer buy shampoo for many months, thank you Sunsilk!!!

Photobucket

And so that is the present I’ve got, months supply of shampoo, weee :-)

Thank you so much Az Colladilla for sending us the invite, if not you, I will never have a chance to witness this show, I perhaps would be anywhere the event area looking for a best position to watch the show.

Thank you sunsilk for the luscious and eniticing dinner and the give away. And thank you Alex and Nherz and to the newly met blogger Sarah Cada, Jonel Uy and Ryan San Juan were also there, also spotted the Espacio couple. Hope to see you next blogger’s event :-)

Working and living in Manila area opened an opportunity for me to explore my hobby of blogging. I never thought and really had no idea that blogging network is a social networking to consider where every bloggers meet in all events and documents such. Honestly, living here is a very great experience for me. Now I got a chance meet some bloggers in every event I’ve attended.

And latest blogging event that I’ve been was Enchanting Hug-A-Palooza, I Gave A Hug at Enchanted Kingdom this Valentine’s Day, February 14, 2010. I am single but I had a chance to celebrate this full of happiness! I enjoyed this day a lot. Thanks to AZ who announced this to us bloggers.

Enchanted Kingdom provided a shuttle for all of us who registered to AZ’ blog, we were fetched by the bus provided to the bloggers at 1:30 in Enchanted Kingdom’s Makati office. Travelled for one hour, and we reached EK at 2:30, still the king sun shone very brightly enough to keep us warm and really hot! Nevertheless, this did not prevent us to enjoy this date. So VIP of us that we did not need to go through a long line to enter the amusement park, we were ushered by Micko to the guest entrance (yes, guest entrance, seldom this happens to me, to  be the VIP in an event). We had our entrance ticket FREE, and Micko also gave us WIZARD MONEY worth Pph200. We registered in the guest list (la la la la LOLS). Afterwhich all of us, I think less than twenty bloggers (others did not make it, more than half on AZ list was not able to go with us, they missed this). I went with a group of eight bloggers, I did not know them personally, except for Ryan Joson who is my officemate. It gave me again the chance to meet persons whom I do not know. Thanks guys for the wonderful Valentine’s Day, another bloggers I’ve met – Carl Valanezona, Nerisa Acmo, Jennet Pineda, Florencio Jusay Jr., Alex Dizon and Maui.

Ryan’s and my entrance pass/wrist pass :-) I loved it pink!!

Holding the Money Wizard worth Php200.00

with Carl, Florence, Alex, Nerisa and Jenneth

We had our first ride Roller Skater, a light roller coaster, a ten seconds coaster hahaha.

Next was the Up Up and Away.

And we wanted thrilling rides, we didn’t attempt to ride Anchors Away, they said it will make them dizzy and might vomit afterwards, which I think is true because I saw a girl who was already leaning to the shoulder of her friends, lupaypay, and cannot move. Others were really had red faces. I did not dare to ride too! AS we were having our photo shoot, we were regaled by an Egyptian/Belly dance by a group od five persons, two men and three women. After some picture taking, we went close to the Space Shuttle, we had our respite first, waited for another blogger Ces. Another part of EK’s program, a parade of Dragon dance to celebrate also the Chinese New year, Kong Hei Fat Choi (yeee tama ba).

While waiting for another activity and thinking what to have next, we had our group picture, free digital photo booth provided by EK.

with the bloggers, Ryan, Maui, Nherz, Jenneth, Shel, Carl, Alex and Florence

Then went back to the seat were we had before, saw Anna Capri with a white guy (at pati to sabihin).

I wanted to ride the space shuttle but Ryan, who also wanted to try that ride was not there with us yet, so FPJ and I decided to went ahead of them. Yey!! I had my space shuttle ride (and again like my Lagoon experience in Utah, I was experiencing this ride with my eyes closed and loud holler). I felt I can take riding Space Shuttle because I was able to overcome and ride in Lagoon’s Collossus, a much bigger, more thrilling than Space Shuttle. This time, I was not wearing my eyeglasses anymore, afraid that it might fly again like what happened in Collossus. I am not afraid of Space Shuttle, the picture shows (LOLS na LOLS!!), it depicts a thousand words. Honestly, I was not scared, medyo exaggerated lang yung camera who took this photo (LOLS).

let’s compare this Space Shuttle with Collosus of Lagoon SLC Utah

No ride anymore, it’s getting darker and the Hug-A-Palooza and fireworks is soon to start. But before this, a band (sorry I did not know the name) regaled us with some music. And at exactly 6:15, the program started hosted by Tirso Cruz III and the lady who owns the EK. After few words and some inspiring messages, the Hug-A-Palooza and giving hugs in trying to make a record happened with fireworks display at the same time. Families, friends and couples were there giving hugs with each other. And it ended. We were nowhere to ride anymore.

Wow, i was in the crowd, trying to wait for someone to give me a hug :-)

It was also a nice thing that I was able to see one of my closest friends and former officemate Wayne, she was there with her family. We just had a wee chat while Wayne was chasing her nephew. And after some minutes, we separated our ways, she was looking for Karen and I joined my blogger group.

We had our lunch and rest for a while in front of RioGrande. While me and Ryan were eating stir fried rice and potato fries respectively, we saw Sheena Halili, and the star struck of had some pictures with this actress (LOLS).

Kakapagod but happy, my feet were really ngalay but we still kept on walking and had lots of pictures. And nung mag eight thirty na, we went outside and took pictures again with the bloggers, buti na lang lumabas na kami and was able to join them with pictures hahaha. Syempre we need to document this, it is the reason why we were invited. And we left EK at 8:45pm.

Blogger team, preparing to take off at 8:30 pm

I did not regret spending heart’s day being single, in fact, I enjoyed it more than quintiplet! I am happy attending bloggers’ event like this, I am happy meeting people, the adventurous side of me is being developed while I am doing this things. Again another set of  bloggers were met, and hopefully I will still see them in the next event. Watch out for Enchanted Kingdom’s summer promo, we were advised to be there again.

I gave a hug and enjoyed enchanting Hug-A-Palooza at Enchanted Kingdom!!!

Thanks Ryan Joson of The Black Fedora and Nhers Marie for some of the photos here :-)
