ATV is Fun

Posted by Dhina Lieva on Friday Jul 23, 2010 Under Adventures, Daily Living, Male Topics, Technology, Travel

What is atv? Oh wait, this isn’t a television it is an acronym for All Terrain Vehicle. Gotcha! I think this is one of the expensive hobbies and sports one can indulge with. Acquiring one is not a joke it’s serious :-) and I am not joking. I have not seen any kind of atv, however, television, magazines and internet help me visualize how this car is being driven and finally loved as a hobby and sport. There have been competitions engaiging nowadays and it is the atv racing. It must be a dangerous race, race is race and will always be risky, eventhough an atv is a four-wheeled vehicle. Anyway, you are not going to risk your life if you know you cannot do it don’t you?

Weehhh, and I said, atv is fun! Hmmmm, I think it is, since you are riding like a kid and will somehow bring out the childish in you :-) fun isn’t it?

My First Cebu Pacific Flight Experience

Posted by Dhina Lieva on Wednesday Jul 21, 2010 Under Adventures, Daily Living, Hongkong, Society & Culture, Travel

I forgot to share the experience I or we had during our Hong Kong travel last July 3-5, 2010. We had to grab the Cebu Pac promo which had to be daparted from Clark Pampanga at Diosdado Macapagal International Airport (DMIA), the fare costed for more or less 6K each, exclusive of course of the travel and terminal fee amounting to P2,200 and P600 respectively.

Our first time at DMIA, we had to walk from the airport to the plane, maybe we need to don motorcycle jacket, it was hot! I recalled, one of the grandfys that we happened to chat for wee moment told us, “lalakad pa tayo sa disyerto” , I did not get what he used to convey, and then, I realized what was it when we left the airport and saw the plane that we need to reach.

We left the country on July 3, 2010, departure was smooth, and had my unwittingly moment, I  have shared it in my prior post, it was about the P80 coffee I ordered at the plane, thought it was served for free, poor me :-( I had my expensive coffee in the air! The travel lasted for forty-five minutes, and when we were getting lower and the altitude was not that high, I felt I was riding a roller coaster due to the high turbulence made, it was tough, bad and quite disppointing, my first time that way. I have not experienced it during my flight to and from Utah. Fortunately, this bad and turbulent experience was replaced by an amazing pilot who made our flight back to Philippines on July 5, 2010 - landing at DMIA smoothly, no turbulence. In fact, the passengers clapped to surprised and amazement, experiencing a smooth landing back to Clark Pampanga. Just wish all flights are like that :-) A job well done, a pilot worth a loud of applause, but I was so again so bad that I did not know his name, anyway, I still want to express my amazement!

Kowloon HK and Disneyland

Posted by Dhina Lieva on Friday Jul 9, 2010 Under Affiliated Computer Services Philippines, Hongkong, Travel, jobs

July 4, 2010, the day of our City Tour to Kowloon and Disneyland.

We left Mexan Harbour Hotel at eight o’clock in the morning and after having our breakfast too. Bus on-board, we were toured by Bryan of Wins Travel accompanied by Cow Loo (i did not know the real name of this foolish guide)Photobucket . We first had our City Tour at Kowloon. They first brought us to The Avenue of the Stars viewing the Hongkong’s tallest building the IMC. Our tour guides allowed us to take photos from 8:50 to 9:20. And so here are the photos we had. Thanks Dave Morales and Bec Malanao for sharing these to me.

Photobucket

At the Avenue of the Stars where we had our kulit posing and fun bonding slash teambuilding. Temperature that time was 34 - 38 degree celsius.

Notice the American guy with us, he has a resemblance with one of our US clients :-) Reminds of some unforgettable moment wehehehe.

It was here at the Avenue of the Stars where Cow Loo took pictures of each of us, saying SEXY and having the peace sign, full smiles pa kami! We thought it was part of the tour, that he took us photos as a documentation, but still we also had the idea that it was to be paid so we asked him how much, he told us he was doing it as a part time job and his boss was the one who knew of the amount. He kept on saying the pictures will be put in a PLATO, “Mr Gwapo, Mr. Maganda, Mr. Swave”. After taking pictures he left us and told that he will be arranging our Disneyland tour.

After this, we went back to our coach and headed to City Outlet, Xiaon - a jewelry shop selling necklaces, bangles, rings with designs and pendants that believe to bring good luck, security and prosperity - Feng Shui.

Photobucket

And after here, we went to Global Outlet Export - a souvenir shop (and we did not buy anything from here, expensive though!)

We’re heading to Disneyland, it was already 12noon. Along the way, Cow Loo hopped in again with big bag. Here comes the loud voice uttering Mr. Gwapo, Ms. Maganda!! as he was handing the pictures in plates, everyone chuckled as they were seeing the pictures, including us. Sabi ko na nga ba may bayad, we bet it was only HK$50, but OMG to our dismay it costed HK$160.. OMG, we had no money.. Tahimik kaming lahat, nagngingitngit sa inis, nais magwala at habulin si Cow Loo at Bryan, bigla silang lumayas after getting the pictures’ fees, budol budol ba yun? Linshak, litrato namin kulang kulang isang libong piso???? Ginto! Buti na lang may Disney, gandang strategy nila ha grrrrrr…

Tiring Disneyland Tour…

Night View of Princess’ palace, before the fireworks.

We went here on a package, everything was arranged, from HK airport pick up to the hotel, hotel to City Tour and Disneyland, from Disneyland back to the hotel and finally from hotel to HK airport. Except those MTR and bus we had, those were just some sort of familiarizing ourselves.

Is she having some natural slimming pills to maintain her slim figure and look stunningly beautiful? I believe not, it’s her natural way of maintaining her health. I asked, I answered :-)

My First Time in Hongkong

Posted by Dhina Lieva on Tuesday Jul 6, 2010 Under Hongkong, Travel, jobs

Our Teambuilding…….. After a Friday night shift work, we left Manila at about 4:30 in the morning headed to Clark Pampanga for our Hongkong flight at 7:00 in the morning. We were the last passengers who arrived in Diosdado Macapagal International Airport (DMIA), we wished to sit in window area, unfortunately because we were almost late, we did not make it har har har.

Photobucket We seated at the very last row of the plane, Cebu Pacific. By the way, we got our ticket in promo. Wait, alam nyo ba why I posted that coffee in this post? It’s because I had my first kashungahan. I thought it was free - when the FS passed by and said, coffee, anyone? I said me!! Mocha coffee please, nya, I even woke up Bec and told her that the breakfast is there to my dismay, she told me that it was not free. Huhuhu, too late, the coffee was served, for how much? Otsyenta y pesos (php80.00) po! :-( Awww, if only I knew. Next funny thing, when we were about to arrive, the crew said, you may unfasten your seatbelt now, oh no, I was not able to fasten my seatbelt after I went to the lavatory, and it was hard to unfasten if it was not fastened though :-) .

Hongkong time! We were fetched by a, a, ahahaha forgot, we were fetched by a shuttle and brought us to Mexan Harbour Hotel, left our baggage and had lunch at Mc Donald! We stayed in Mexan as I’ve mentioned, located at Tsing Yi Hongkong, overseeing the harbor haha, container vans and some tall buildings on the other side. Our first day, we survived roaming around. How to get around? Let me share how we manage to tour some part of HK.

From Mexan Hotel, there is a station 88G or Kwai Fong, ride a bus and it will bring you to Tsuen Wan, fare is HK$3.40. Riding a bus from Kwai Fong or 88G station, Photobucket to MTR Tsue Wan station. If you wish to ride an MTR, you need to go to the ticket machine, press the station where you want to go and drop your fare. We had HK$8.25 each going to Tsim Sha Tsui. Pag nahirapan ka, just look around and see if there are Filipinos around, like what we did :-) Thank you kababayans!

We went to a night market located in Mongkok station, from Tsim Sha Tsui station, we rode back to Mongkok from Tsim Sha Tsui - here branded items can be found but in Mongkok, night market (DV of the Philippines) cheap items can be found, same with Central station.

First day - where did we take our lunch? at Mc Do!!! I had Grilled Chicken Burger and shake fries cost $25.xx, not bad, they tasted good! What a funny moment was when one of my teammates asked water from a crew , the crew gave him a salt hehehehe… It really was hard sometimes conversing to other people when one cannot understand what he or she is saying, like what happened to us in HK.

Miser moment - we shared food, we had bread and spam shared for the five of us. Poor poor poor, no utensils available on the hotel, we used the can’s cover as the slicer of the spam, tsk tsk tsk… Team built with this!

Dull

Posted by Dhina Lieva on Tuesday Jun 29, 2010 Under Affiliated Computer Services Philippines, Daily Living, Hongkong

Can’t think of anything to write, I have no sleep yet and decided to blog, yet my mind is blank. I don’t know what topic should I write. Blogging sometimes really is hard, you run out of ideas, you run of topic and then write just something like this, vague, balderdash.. Hope I have something interesting today..

Might as well take my sleep first and be ready for a night work later. Oopppss, four more nights and we’ll be heading our way to Clark Pampanga airport for our Hongkong Team Building. And now I have a nice topic to share, but  have to wait until July 3 where our flight is slated. We’ll have to leave the office at 3am to catch the early Clark Flight. HK Disneyland, wait for us and see you soon 8)

Road Trip

Posted by Dhina Lieva on Tuesday Jun 8, 2010 Under Daily Living, Sports, Travel

I have learned that a new friend of mine is interested in road trip or that what we know as travelling by road in hours. I don’t know how fast he drives, but I am sure he needs a car insurance to protect his car, or perhaps he already has one.

Road trip, trip trip, I just hope he always is safe while enjoying his drive and trip. Drive safely and always take care.

Intramuros is the Place to be…

Posted by Dhina Lieva on Saturday Jun 5, 2010 Under Daily Living, Society & Culture, Travel

I admire how Intramuros is being maintained now and then. Cleanliness is all I can say, history likewise remains. Cathy, one of my friends in our class once told me that it really is being maintained as this place is one of the country’s tourist spots. Old buildings, security guards wearing old years uniforms and a lot  more. And I love the horses wearing horse tack in his head roving around Intramuros, they are there seeking foreigner passengers to tour around the place, of course with a driver, it is what we called calesa.

Intramuros is one of the famous place to visit, if you search it in the net, you will know how historic this place is. During World War II it played a very important role that is worth remembering forever.

The Prize I’ve Got

Posted by Dhina Lieva on Tuesday May 4, 2010 Under 7107 Cruise, Adventures, Blog Enhancement, Internet/Web Design/ Blogging, Travel

I finally found time to claim the prize from Ysa office last week after my night work, I left the office at 10 am and still had the zest to visit the mentioned office located at White Plains Subd. Nag-effort! The reason behind was because of the picture, and fortunately, they took me pictures receiving the prize, but I have no copy though. Among the contents are two lightening soaps, roll on, lightening cream, lightening lotion and diet supplement which I am currently using. Why not try, who knows, I might be as white as Jinky - or Greta.

Wishing to win more from the blog contests!! I am yet to think when to use the 5k GC I won from Perstaym KO Blog contest, when and where… A three-day cruisin alone…

I Wish I Have More

Posted by Dhina Lieva on Friday Apr 30, 2010 Under Daily Living, Travel, Utah

This has nothing to do with something very special, just a topic about what I’ve got for years of working and jumping. It was part of my dream, part of my plan, part that thankfully I was able to have it! I envied those who own a refrigerator wuenching their thirst with chilling water and juices, don’t laugh at me, it was true, I wish we have one then, but I couldn’t make it during that time. I envied my cousins white westinghouse ref full of refrigerator magnets and wishing that mine someday I have them toO!

Thankfully as I said, due to the luck and blessing I received, I was able to acquire one unit of refrigerator and now utilizes at home. When we acquired one last July 2008, we hastily bought something to put in it, and enjoy chilling water and juices. Unfortunately, I only have one refrigerator magnet, but though one, I love it because I bought and brought if from my US business travel last year, a very memorable token I have. And I realize it is one of the nice hobbies one must try, collecting magnets from different places visited. So it’s like mapping the places you’ve gone, I wanted to start from then. Count down begins..

Summer, As in Super Dooper Hot!!

Posted by Dhina Lieva on Thursday Apr 8, 2010 Under Adventures, Daily Living, Travel

As one of the tropical countries in the world, summer really really is hot! Sweat all over your face and body as you walk down what if those who are working out to burn fats and want to be fit! Wet, wet, wet… I bet if those are disciplined enough, their ideal body weight is at hand. If not, perhaps they should try phosphacore.

Phosphacore claims that one can lose up to 2 inches and 7 lbs a week, so how is that, isn’t it worth to try?

Let’s get back to summer. I don’t really perspire, not much like today, I realized that it is now summertime. When I was heading my way to the office, and headed the minicab terminal, I didn’t dare opening my umbrella, I walked under the sun, and sweat rolled in my body, proof that it is really hot 8) .

Let’s grab this once a year season *hmmmmm* beaches are waiting for us to visit, swim and get wet! it’s time to pamper ourselves and enjoy the heat of the sun. Don’t mind your complexion, don’t mind that you might get sunburn, .kiber, all I want is to enjoy summer! 8)

Not So Old One

Posted by Dhina Lieva on Friday Mar 19, 2010 Under Adventures, Daily Living, Travel, Utah

I love flowers!! I wish someone give me flowers (I wish I wish).. And I never ever received one from someone :-)

Speaking of flowers, saw this one from an album stored in my netbook, a rose taken the time we were strolling in Temple Square i Downtown Utah last June 7, 2009. This is not so old. Just feeling proud of my shot though not as artistic as the others, not as eye-catching as you can see in the net.

Sharing this one for you, can’t wait to have a DLSR :-P

All I can say is that nothing beats the beauty of nature… Molded and created by the loving hands of God.

Working and living in Manila area opened an opportunity for me to explore my hobby of blogging. I never thought and really had no idea that blogging network is a social networking to consider where every bloggers meet in all events and documents such. Honestly, living here is a very great experience for me. Now I got a chance meet some bloggers in every event I’ve attended.

And latest blogging event that I’ve been was Enchanting Hug-A-Palooza, I Gave A Hug at Enchanted Kingdom this Valentine’s Day, February 14, 2010. I am single but I had a chance to celebrate this full of happiness! I enjoyed this day a lot. Thanks to AZ who announced this to us bloggers.

Enchanted Kingdom provided a shuttle for all of us who registered to AZ’ blog, we were fetched by the bus provided to the bloggers at 1:30 in Enchanted Kingdom’s Makati office. Travelled for one hour, and we reached EK at 2:30, still the king sun shone very brightly enough to keep us warm and really hot! Nevertheless, this did not prevent us to enjoy this date. So VIP of us that we did not need to go through a long line to enter the amusement park, we were ushered by Micko to the guest entrance (yes, guest entrance, seldom this happens to me, to  be the VIP in an event). We had our entrance ticket FREE, and Micko also gave us WIZARD MONEY worth Pph200. We registered in the guest list (la la la la LOLS). Afterwhich all of us, I think less than twenty bloggers (others did not make it, more than half on AZ list was not able to go with us, they missed this). I went with a group of eight bloggers, I did not know them personally, except for Ryan Joson who is my officemate. It gave me again the chance to meet persons whom I do not know. Thanks guys for the wonderful Valentine’s Day, another bloggers I’ve met – Carl Valanezona, Nerisa Acmo, Jennet Pineda, Florencio Jusay Jr., Alex Dizon and Maui.

Ryan’s and my entrance pass/wrist pass :-) I loved it pink!!

Holding the Money Wizard worth Php200.00

with Carl, Florence, Alex, Nerisa and Jenneth

We had our first ride Roller Skater, a light roller coaster, a ten seconds coaster hahaha.

Next was the Up Up and Away.

And we wanted thrilling rides, we didn’t attempt to ride Anchors Away, they said it will make them dizzy and might vomit afterwards, which I think is true because I saw a girl who was already leaning to the shoulder of her friends, lupaypay, and cannot move. Others were really had red faces. I did not dare to ride too! AS we were having our photo shoot, we were regaled by an Egyptian/Belly dance by a group od five persons, two men and three women. After some picture taking, we went close to the Space Shuttle, we had our respite first, waited for another blogger Ces. Another part of EK’s program, a parade of Dragon dance to celebrate also the Chinese New year, Kong Hei Fat Choi (yeee tama ba).

While waiting for another activity and thinking what to have next, we had our group picture, free digital photo booth provided by EK.

with the bloggers, Ryan, Maui, Nherz, Jenneth, Shel, Carl, Alex and Florence

Then went back to the seat were we had before, saw Anna Capri with a white guy (at pati to sabihin).

I wanted to ride the space shuttle but Ryan, who also wanted to try that ride was not there with us yet, so FPJ and I decided to went ahead of them. Yey!! I had my space shuttle ride (and again like my Lagoon experience in Utah, I was experiencing this ride with my eyes closed and loud holler). I felt I can take riding Space Shuttle because I was able to overcome and ride in Lagoon’s Collossus, a much bigger, more thrilling than Space Shuttle. This time, I was not wearing my eyeglasses anymore, afraid that it might fly again like what happened in Collossus. I am not afraid of Space Shuttle, the picture shows (LOLS na LOLS!!), it depicts a thousand words. Honestly, I was not scared, medyo exaggerated lang yung camera who took this photo (LOLS).

let’s compare this Space Shuttle with Collosus of Lagoon SLC Utah

No ride anymore, it’s getting darker and the Hug-A-Palooza and fireworks is soon to start. But before this, a band (sorry I did not know the name) regaled us with some music. And at exactly 6:15, the program started hosted by Tirso Cruz III and the lady who owns the EK. After few words and some inspiring messages, the Hug-A-Palooza and giving hugs in trying to make a record happened with fireworks display at the same time. Families, friends and couples were there giving hugs with each other. And it ended. We were nowhere to ride anymore.

Wow, i was in the crowd, trying to wait for someone to give me a hug :-)

It was also a nice thing that I was able to see one of my closest friends and former officemate Wayne, she was there with her family. We just had a wee chat while Wayne was chasing her nephew. And after some minutes, we separated our ways, she was looking for Karen and I joined my blogger group.

We had our lunch and rest for a while in front of RioGrande. While me and Ryan were eating stir fried rice and potato fries respectively, we saw Sheena Halili, and the star struck of had some pictures with this actress (LOLS).

Kakapagod but happy, my feet were really ngalay but we still kept on walking and had lots of pictures. And nung mag eight thirty na, we went outside and took pictures again with the bloggers, buti na lang lumabas na kami and was able to join them with pictures hahaha. Syempre we need to document this, it is the reason why we were invited. And we left EK at 8:45pm.

Blogger team, preparing to take off at 8:30 pm

I did not regret spending heart’s day being single, in fact, I enjoyed it more than quintiplet! I am happy attending bloggers’ event like this, I am happy meeting people, the adventurous side of me is being developed while I am doing this things. Again another set of  bloggers were met, and hopefully I will still see them in the next event. Watch out for Enchanted Kingdom’s summer promo, we were advised to be there again.

I gave a hug and enjoyed enchanting Hug-A-Palooza at Enchanted Kingdom!!!

Thanks Ryan Joson of The Black Fedora and Nhers Marie for some of the photos here :-)

What I Miss…2/4

Posted by Dhina Lieva on Thursday Jan 21, 2010 Under Adventures, Travel, jobs

In continuation of what I miss, here is another post relative to it.

After spending our first working week in Utah, we had to enjoy ourselves visiting some of the states famous places, one of these is the Park City.  One of our SME’s took us first to the mountain where there was snow, touched it though filthy and felt the cold as in 7degreeF, (i was wearing a high-heeled sandals then, no other shoes to don). After few minutes, we went ahead to Park City itself, that was Sunday so most of the stores were closed observing their rest and family day.

Here are the photos of what we’ve had.

see my footwear (lols) :-P

And those were the Park City days… that I miss… wish i will be able to get back there and experience the super cool environment as being covered by snow…notjust a mountain snow cup, but snow eerywhere, snow that you can actually eat.

And so till then,

What I Miss, 1/4..

Posted by Dhina Lieva on Tuesday Jan 19, 2010 Under Adventures, Travel, jobs

Due to too much sleep last weekend, Saturday and Sunday, I hardly slept tonight, imagine I am writing this post at 3:00 in the morning! Yes, I am fully awake, my eyes are wide open, typing words into sentences and composing this post, (hope I am not balderdash though). It was like, me and Eunice, one of my officemates here, were sleeping from 2:00 am on Saturday until 12:00 nn, then I had my valet until 2pm, bathed and chatted till 4pm (oh I had brunch in between), went back to bed at 5pm, woke up Maalaala Mo Kaya time until NNNN, it was 11pm. I surfed until 3:00 am on a Sunday. Got back to sleep and rise at 12:30 pm ASAP time, watched until 5:00 pm, I had to go to MOA to have a free wifi and did my tasks, stayed there until 7:00 pm (sniff, sniff, I had to go home after two hours, there’s nowhere to plug my notebook, recharging isn’t allowed in MOA foodcourt), watched PBB, till MEGA SHARON Birthday Concert and got back to bed at 12:00 mn. I leave you counting how many hours of sleep I had during weekends. With this, now I am suffering, weekends asked me to pay the sleep I had those days. It’s nearly 4:00 am and I haven’t felt any drowsiness. Hope when I feel like dozing, I can finish this post then, as a reward of staying alive that long.

And this is the story I want to share, the experience I had, unforgettable experience, my perstaym ika nga.

Having been chosen as one of the ACS employees who will be attending an onshore training in Utah USA was a great opportunity for me. I may sound very detailed, flaunty  and proud, well, say what you want to say, it was part of my dream though, to ride in a plane (akala nyo kung anon oh?). Yes, one of my dreams was to walk and enter inside the airport, I’ve never seen it until my flight, if not because of that, I have no idea when can I step on the airport. Actually, I have been dreaming of flying several times, repeatedly happened in my dreams that I was flying, even until now, literally flying, I’m flying without wings. My interpretation to that, my dreams are yet to be achieved, I can achieve all my dreams, kahit maputi na ang buhok ko.

Our flight was last June 06, 2009, I was half-sad because the day after that was my beloved inay’s birthday, I was not there though. I called and greeted her when we arrived in Utah on the same day, Mark gave us $100 worth of AT&T prepaid phone cards, so that was the first thing I did, greeted my mother, called my family and informed them that we safely arrived in Utah. Told them my experience riding a plane and share my euphoria with them, that there was a snow in a mountain, snow cup, that it was cold there, that 9pm was still bright, that we seldom ate rice, mostly salads and pastas. And that’s what I miss!

Miss part 1, I miss my room, the silent room that only the radio slash speaking alarm clock and television, likewise the air-conditioning unit and the refrigerator can be heard at night. Taking a bath every morning with heater on, (I just can’t take the cold water though!), and had a nice breakfast that would really make you choose which ones to eat (varieties made me confused), not to forget going to the exercise room and had an hour thread mill (I really did not sweat swear).

Just arrived.

Hotel Marriot’s welcome gift..

And my cozy room.

I miss our first week there, the huge sandwiches that they served us, but after that, perhaps they empathized us so they offered us rice that we grabbed. I loved their generosity and hospitality, they were always thinking how were we during those days, one thing that I miss also.

Sorry karen, took this with your name.. Let’s have the other side shot

looks yummy!!! Tingin pa lang buchog ka na.. :-)

Akala kasi namin small servings lang, so we ordered a lot. We were not able to eat them all, so I took them home, that’s why I have that pictures.

I miss visiting Target and shopped fruits and breads. I miss going Downtown and window-shopped with Karen and Dina. I miss Sarku Japan (cheapest) and the greetings of Mexican waiter “Kumusta” because they recognized us Filipinos (ay tinanong pala nila). Miss also visiting the Southe Town Center and window-shopped again. It was there where we met a Filipina beauty consultant of Clinique and the other three salesladies in rtw area. It was nice seeing fellow Filipinos in a foreign land. The true essence of being Filipino is felt, always. I miss the daily training and the morning greetings of the ACS Sandy employees, “How are you?”, “Good” we replied, “GOOD!” they responded. I hope we Filipinos are like them, cheerful every morning, and smiles are painted in the faces.

First sunday gala mode kahit maulan and explored Temple Square Downtown..

This was actually not part of our first week, but still in Downtown.

This is the first part of what I miss, have to sign off now, it’s almost 4:00 am and I need to have some sleep, still have to go to work tomorrow at 9:00 am, hope after this post, sleep visits me. Thanks for a fruitful day Lord..

And I created my entry, my perstaym travel in Utah USA last June 6 to July 10, 2009. Lots of fun.

Then after the period of submitting your post, I got an email from omar itay or ohmski, telling that I won The Perstaym Ko Blog Contest!! Yey, a great christmas gift for me. A P5,000 GC in 7,107 Cruise. Pahabol for Year 2009.

Having experienced every FIRST or perstaym in tagalog was really a fulfilling and one of the most euphoric things than can happen to your life. Everyone of us has this, perstaym to blog, perstaym to complete, perstaym to attend to an event - whoa, event! I had my perstaym last night, first time to attend a bloggers/advertisers event, and I really did enjoyed it! Being gregarious and mingling with the rest of bloggers who were there was really fun!

Why i am writing about perstaym (first time), because there is a blogger who is announcing a contest about your perstaym travel experience. And I am joining here. So you too can join, wann know the prizes at stake?

 - Gift certificate worth P5,000 from 7,107 cruise..

not bad right? Just post your perstaym travelling experience like me, and then that’s it, you might have a chance to be selected through Random.org.

I will share my first travel experience to you guys! Honestly, I have never been around the Philippine archipelago, the only places I know and visited were Quezon (my province), Laguna, Cavite, Tagaytay and Batangas, Subic and Bulacan (just because of the summer company outing). I never had a chance to travel beautiful scenic places of our country, budget constrait. Then what am I going to share to you guys?

My perstaym travel was very unforgettable, it was in Utah USA, if not because of my current employer, I would never experience this, my perstaym to ride a plane! The purpose of travelling to Utah was to have a training from our US counterpart, not only training though! During weekends, we were brought to different lovely places in Salt Lake City.

In our first weekend, Ryan Stringham brought us to Park City where I was able to see and touched a real snow, filthy though! But I loved it!! :-)

Next weekend - Kevin Matthews toured us to Temple Square at Downtown, where the big temple of Jesus Christ the Latter Saints built. Tiring day as we were really prowling around that place, visited various buildings and watched Joseph’s Smith story. After that 8 hours tour, Mark Roberts joined us watching the Real Soccer Game, Xango and Canada team vied, and Xango won. Enjoyed this day, though was very tiring!

Last weekend there, the best! Paul Dabell brought us to Lagoon Park and the six of us rode nine thrilling coasters or so, the Wild Mouse, Spider, Cable Car, Bumping car, Bat, and the Colloasus whre my eyeglasses flew and broke, (cannot remember the rest) - and the best, the Skycoaster where me, Karen and Paul were able to fly high in the sky, love it, though nervous feeling was there! As the harness’ rope was being pulled up and upon seeing that you were really getting higher up from the ground, whoa, a feeling that was very incomparable - then suddenly, at the count of 3 (3 2! 1!) and fly! as Karen pulled the string, we swang like a feather up, dowm, up down to the both sides.. Grabe as in! If I were to ask if I want to repeat this experience again, I will not think twice, YES! I WILL!…

My perstaym travel lasted for five weeks, weekdays were spent for training. Some weekends were just at the hotel Marriott.

till then,

It was during the first week of December when Ms. Janette Toral posted a shoutout in FB about the DigitalFilipinoClub.com’s upcoming Christmas Party, I commented if I can attend, she told me that the event is only for the members of the said site. She abruptly commented back and told me that Blog4Reviews will be having a christmas party too and invited me. That made me feel very happy, it will be my very first time to mingle with other bloggers and advertisers. The schedule was first set on the 12th of December, I had to think twice and answered “maybe attending” from the FB invite. Saturday was the first sched, and it is during this day that I am home in Quezon, spending time with my family. Then afterwards, after three days or so, she sent a re-scheduled invite and set the date on the 17th. I hastily tagged “attending”!

The venue was in Le Bistro Fraser Place, whoa and I did not know the place really! So i had to text my friends to ask where this place is. Tiny told me that it is just at the back of Citibank Tower. Imagining I wore a three inches high heeled gladiator sandals (kinda) and was walking from Standard Chartered Bank, passed through the underpass twice, walked, walked, walked, walked, huh, no sweat coming out yet (that’s what I love about me, I don’t really get sweat, it must require me a very stressfull activity like badminton, super dancing, running fast to get perspire), by just walking, hmmm, no avail, swear, no sweat! I am yet unfamiliar with the place so I asked several security guards, I think five of them, and arrrrrrr, the second to the last, I asked him “Sir, san po dito yung Le Bistro (it was when I was at the Greenwhich resto)”, he replied “Dun yun, pangalawang kanto” So i walked again, and reached the place he told me, yay! and I read LEVISTE, waaaaa, bingi? :-) I reaced the wrong place! And I asked another guard again, this time, he answered correctly and I never wandered anymore. He knew the Le Bistro and gave me the correct direction, whoa! I need to go back to where i came…. Two streets then turn left, wow, and I found it.

At 7:30, I was there, I reached the place, saw more than twenty people, bloggers and advertisers having their dinner. Ms. Janette assisted me, gave me my name tag DHINA. I got a plate for my food, and joined Jonel and Fjords in the table. Chatted about blogging, this really was my first time to attend and mingle with some of the country’s bloggers, thanks Blog4Reviews.com

In here, Fjords, Jonel and dhynnes :-)

Thanks Iris Acosta for this photo.

After few hours of networking about anything, one of the sponsors of the event spoke, Mr. June Delos Reyes (am I right) of Yahoo Meme. Spoke about the importance, benefits and advantage of the yahoo meme. Among these are allowing you to create stories and share it with everyone, upload your memorable photos, important videos, uploading also your favorite music and allow others to re-post it. I am starting my yahoo meme account, and by the way, as the speaker spoken to us, he told us that “meme” is pronounced as “mim” sounds like cream. And by the way I believe yahoo gave a lechon for our party.

Each of us spoke before the bloggers and introduced ourselves and blogsites as well, and yey, I felt very welcomed as it was really my first time to attend a blogger’s event like this.

Then Body Flavors one of the sponsors also, introduced their products, organic soaps, and one of the awesome items they showed is the 4-kilo pink/orange organic which was won  by Ms. Ria. Aside from introducing, they also gave away soaps for us the bloggers and supporters. These soaps are currently being used by my family, (and I am updating this post) we found it safe to use because it is 100% natural as it is based in virgin coconut oil, therefore making it eco-friendly too!

Sir Gary Viray also spoke during the party and shared with us a networking part about PAGCOR that gains higher traffic and impression. He also conveyed that there are lots of activities lined up with the PAGCOR E-.

Smilds.com followed, which was one of the sponsors - introduced also the online shopping portal here in the country. GM was also there who gave Friendster stuff - which I also received. There was also another one who gave away havaianas slippers (that I was wishing to receive but my name was already called) and gift certificates. Exchange gifts followed and then lastly, networking and photo taking. Fun fun fun! I did not have any OP feeling, though it was my very first to attend a blogger event, I felt I really belong!

Thanks Jenn and AZ for the photos, you really are good photographers, wanna be like you too guys!

the give aways i received

I was all the way came from my boarding house near PAGCOR building, and as what I’ve said at the start of my post, I really had a funny time reaching the event.   But I did not regret attending it especially the fact that I was chosen and contacted to attend by Ms Janette Toral of DigitalFilipino Club. And by the way, through constand updating in facebook, I learned that Ms. Janette has reached out bloggers and hosted bloggers networking events ain Manila, Cebu, Davao and Bacolod City. I even have read some of the posts of the bloggers she had met to.

Hoping to see you all again… This was the start but not the end… :-) Thanks Ms. Janette and Sir Gary of Blog4Reviews.com… Cheers and more powers!
